John Carl Gutzmer,68, of Greenwood passed away Friday, March 6, 2015, at St Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born July 27, 1946 in Chicago, IL .
He was a retired contractor in the construction business. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran, member of the AARP, loved training dogs, woodworking and riding motorcycles. He was a Greenwood community High School Color Guard and Band parent since 1995.
John is survived by his wife; Charmayne Gutzmer, two daughters; Janet Marie Wagner (Jason) of Danville, IN and Merya Jo Gutzmer (Randy) of Southport son; John Richard Freeland (Danielle) of Indianapolis, brothers; Troy Henson (Vanessa) of Eaton, IN and Charles Henson (Michelle) of Franklin, IN, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. and his German shepherds Heidi and Gaby.
