John C. White, a respected veteran, farmer, and businessman passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the age of 90.
He is survived by his son Greg White, 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nephew Leroy Hunton, niece Johna Elaine Bishop and friend Ida.
He was born in Clovis NM in 1932 and spent much of his life in the community. John served his country honorably as a Commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during the Korean War.
After his service, John returned to New Mexico to operate his 4,000 acres of land, where he raised wheat, sorghum, and cattle. He was known for his dedication to his land and his commitment to the community. He was a respected member of the agricultural community and a valuable asset to the farmers of the area. He also had an advanced degree from New Mexico State University (Go Aggies!) and used his education in teaching and mentoring the next generation.
John was also a successful businessman. He worked as a Real Estate Salesman and later as a Real Estate Broker. He was known for his integrity and his ability to help people.
John was a skilled pilot and enjoyed flying his plane. He and his friend, Ida had a passion for traveling, often taking trips to Mexico in his jeep.
John C. White will be remembered as a man of integrity, who lived a life of service to his country and community. He lived a long and fulfilling life, and will be greatly missed, but his legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched. Rest in peace, John.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
