Muncie – John C. Mort Sr.
John was born in Elwood on July 5, 1937, the son of William and Gladys (Gifford) Mort, and was a 1955 graduate of Muncie Central High School.
Mr. Mort proudly served in the United States Marine Corp as an accountant. He worked for over 28 years with ABB.
Survivors include two sons, John C. Mort Jr., (wife-Kristi), Eaton, and Gary Mort, (wife-Heidi), Hartford City; four grandchildren, Jessica Walker, Jama Hale, Amanda Boozier, and Bill Boozier, (wife Heather); three great-grandchildren, Hannah Walker, Collen Boozier, and Owen Boozier; a grandson-in-law, Tyler Walker, Yorktown; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of over 53 years, Mary Mort; a daughter, Lisa Hale; and a brother James Mort.
