Mr. John Wesley “Bubba” Shell, age 72, was born and raised in Newnan, Ga, and passed away on Thursday, October 1st, 2015 at his home in Senoia. Bubba was the son of the late John Wesley Shell and Frances Shell of Newnan, GA.

Bubba devoted the last 25 years of his life to the love of his life, Cynthia Shell. Bubba was a graduate of Newnan High School and attended Georgia Tech and ultimately received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University. Bubba had many interests, all of them involving competition. He was an exceptional athlete in football, baseball, and skeet shooting. He also loved hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. Bubba loved children and had a special bond with all his nieces and nephews. Bubba loved college football and will always be a “Rambling Wreck from Georgia Tech.”

Bubba is survived by his wife, Cynthia. He is also survived by his sister Eleanor Belcher of Newnan, Ga., his in-laws Hubert, and Blanche Jones of Toccoa, Ga. Nephews, Jeff (Beth) Belcher and Mike Belcher. Brothers-in-law, Douglas(Cindy) Jones of Carnesville, GA, and Roger(Jenny) Jones of Covington, GA. Sisters-in-law, Vivian(Harry) Collier of Toccoa, Ga, and Sharon(Tommy) Parten of Royston, GA. Numerous nieces and nephews are as follows: Hanna, Nadine, Eddie, Ashley, Chris, Robert, Lauren, Timothy, Tori, and Ellie, lastly two extra special great-great-nephews, Drake and Dacey Belcher.
