Lakeland – John Britton Pate, 65, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014, as a result of complications of a stroke.
Mr. Pate was born March 21, 1949 in Plant City, FL. He and his family moved to Lakeland in 1983. Mr. Pate was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army where he was awarded the Purple Heart three times during his tours in Vietnam.
Mr. Pate is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Carol Pate; his son, Jason Pate and his wife, Courtney; grandson, Justin Pate; and granddaughter, Charlee Pate.
