JOHN BRANCH HADLEY, JR., was born September 28, 1934 to Annie Green Bynum Hadley and John Branch Hadley, Sr.. He departed Transitions Life Care on September 15, 2018.
Growing up he enjoyed playing football, being a part of his family’s singing group, watching westerns, and drawing. He graduated from Horton High School. He was employed at Webster Poultry, Texfi Industries, and Cortina Fabric. He joined Mt. Sinai A.M.E. Zion Church in Pittsboro, NC at an early age. He was a Sunday School teacher, sung in the choir, and played the guitar. He later joined Edwards Grove Baptist Church in Liberty, NC where he also played the guitar and joined the choir.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Annie Hadley; his wife, Sylvia Kay Hadley, one brother, Tom Hadley; and one sister, Jane Hadley.
He leaves to mourn his loss: two daughters, Jestina Hadley and Annette Paige (Grover), four sons, Corey Hadley (Nikki), Eric Hadley (Lynette), Deric Hadley and Larry Harris; one sister, Mary Johnson; five brothers, Henry Hadley (Hazel), Ernest Hadley (Hamp), Dan Hadley and Will Hadley; ten grandchildren, Jodeci Paige, Jaylan Paige, Trevion Hadley, Deja hadley, Shania Hadley, Joshua Muniz, Elizabeth Kaye Hadley, Kamarie Hadley, Michael Brooks Keyon Harris, Isiah Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
