John Baker Breitmeier, 83, of Mebane passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at his residence.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Wendelin Marcelius Breitmeier and Audrey Baker Kiem Breitmeier, both deceased and the husband of Hallie Jobe Breitmeier for 29 years, who survives.
John worked at Western Electric for many years before becoming the first Director of the Alamance County EMS. He worked for over 50 years with the Alamance County Rescue.
In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include his daughter, Jane Breitmeier of Mebane; three grandchildren, Jessica Varner, Amanda Carr and her husband Josh, Jeromy Whitfield; three great grandchildren, Nicholas Carr, Skylar Wilkerson, Alyssa Carr; brother, James “Jim” Breitmeier and his wife Sandy of Waynesville, NC; niece, Susan Ballew, and two nephews, John and Jim Breitmeier.
