John B. Pena, 66, of Freemansburg, passed away on Sunday April, 16, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg, surrounded by his family and friends. He was the husband of Dena L. (Petro) Pena, with whom he shared 5 years of loving marriage.
Born in Arroyo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Justino and Juana (Martinez) Pena. John attended Liberty High School, where he wrestled and played football. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy, where he was an airman and a aviation structural mechanic, during the Vietnam War.
John worked as a truck driver for Eastern Industries for 25 years, until retiring in 2015. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, football and baseball. His favorite teams were the New York Mets and the Oakland Raiders. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Dena, daughter Sherri A. Pena; son Dustin M. Pena both of Bethlehem; stepmother Lucy Pena of Pascagoula, MS.
