John B. Gross, Jr., 74, of Hellertown, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospital-Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Sharon K. (Gradwohl) Gross. They celebrated 53 years of marriage on December 30. Born in Hellertown, he was the son of the late John B. and Mary (Yonney) Gross. He was a graduated of Liberty High School and attended Moravian College. John was a Foreman in the Shipyards at Bethlehem Steel for over 25 years and also was a Bowling Lane Technician. He was a member and League Bowler at National Sokols. Survivors: surviving with his wife, Sharon is a daughter, Tammi K. Peterson of St. Augustine, Fl; sons, Robert J. “Rob” Gross, his wife, Wendy of Hellertown and Richard J. Gross of Quakertown; 4 grandchildren, Brianne and Taryne Peterson and Kayleigh and Erik Gross; brothers, E. James Gross of Hellertown and Ralph Gross of New Haven, CT; sisters, Marian Pavlinsky of Hellertown; Dorothy DeMasi of Bangor and Shirley DeMasi of Bethlehem.
