John A. Spayde, 86, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2013. He was born in Harrison County, MS to Cleve Lloyd Spayde and Delphine Bosage Spayde. He graduated from Long Beach High School and served in the U.S. Army at the end of World War II. He attended Perkinston Junior College and graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in mechanical engineering.
He enjoyed bicycle riding, jogging, race walking and outdoor activities.
Mr. Spayde was predeceased by his wife, Mary McCoy Spayde, his parents, a brother, Richard L. Spayde, a sister, Callie Spayde Sellers, and a sister-in-law, Nancy Welch Spayde.
He is survived by two sons, Steven L. Spayde and Scott H.
