John Addison Kirkpatrick, 80, of Cumming, GA died June 28, 2016, peacefully at home. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 13, 1935. He went to Sullivan High School, and the University of Illinois. He is the son of the late Walter and Helen Kirkpatrick.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Elizabeth Kirkpatrick, married for 59 years; his brother James Kirkpatrick of Chicago, IL; his daughter Laurie Lenke and husband Mark of Milton, GA, and daughter Bonnie Zona Lachenberg of Alpharetta, GA; Sister-in-Law Shirlee Nunley; He also had 6 grandchildren, Ryan Zona, Sara Strish, Kate Bawden, Emily Burton, Sean Lachenberg, and Austin Lachenberg, also, two great-grandchildren, Zoe and Zack Bawden, all that brought tremendous joy to John’s life.
John worked as a mechanical engineer for 44 years at Verson Allsteel Press Co. in Chicago, IL, until retiring in the year 2000. Shortly after, they moved to their home in Cumming, GA.
