John A.L. McCall Jr., age 67, of 286 Robin Hollow, Rd. West Greenwich, RI, died unexpectedly on Tuesday August 22, 2006. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Guenet) McCall.
Mr. McCall was born in South Kingstown, RI on April 21, 1939 he was the son of Dorothy E. (Sherman) McCall and the late John A.L. McCall, Sr.
John was a supervisor at Electric Boat in Groton, CT, for many years before his retirement. He also was employed as a carpenter for several local construction companies. He also served in the US. Navy.
Mr. McCall was an avid outdoorsman and was a member of the Mystic Rod and Gun Club, Trout Unlimited, CT, and RI Fly Rodders, NRA, Thornton Beagle Club and President of New London County Pistol League since 1991.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his 3 sons, John A.L. McCall III, of West Greenwich, Alfred McCall and daughter-in-law Peggy McCall of Delmar, NY and Stephen McCall of West Greenwich, RI. he also leaves 2 brothers, Thomas A. McCall of Pawcatuck, CT and George C. McCall of Hopkinton and a sister, Darlene J. Kennedy of Windsor, CT.
He was predeceased by his brother Duncan E. McCall.
