John A. Kratzer, 70, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011 in his residence. He was born June 1, 1941 in Terre Haute to George Kratzer and Mary Minderman Kratzer.
John was employed at the Zorah Shrine Temple for 17 years and also worked at R.C. Bottling Company and A& P. He loved fishing and drive-in movies. John also enjoyed working on cars and playing bingo.
John was preceded in death by his father, George Kratzer.
John is survived by his mother Mary Kratzer. A son, Chreas Kratzer and wife Karla of Stewartstown, PA; a daughter, Sherry Jacobs of Terre Haute. She is also survived by a brother Robert Kratzer and wife Connie of Terre Haute. Four grandchildren; Joshua Lee Brown and wife Stephanie of Kansas City, Mo, Mark Anthony Brown and wife Brittany of Brazil, IN, Carson Kratzer and Easton Kratzer of Stewartstown, PA. Two great grandchildren; Joshua Lee Brown, Jr and Mark Anthony Brown, Jr.
