John Cummins, 75, of Cory, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 11, 2013. He passed away in his residence surrounded by his family.

John was born October 4, 1937 in New Goshen, Indiana to Robert and Iva Cummins.
In May of 1956 he married Madeline Blackburn. They had four children. Three daughters, Deanna Rector- Johnson, Juliana Souder and her husband, Don, and Robbyn Clark and her husband, Yates; one son, John Brian Cummins, who preceded him in death. They also have six grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, whom John was so proud of and loved so dearly. John is also survived by brothers, Charles Cummins and his wife, Carol, and Joe Cummins; sisters, Catherine Bailey, Cookie Mitchell and Mary Doris Vaira, and many nieces, nephews and loved ones.

John graduated from Fayette High School. His favorite thing to do was to fly with his neighbor, Bob Turner, in his wing tryke or fly in any plane that someone would take him up in. His son helped to fulfill his dream by taking flying lessons and received his license at 17. He also loved to restore tractors, trucks and cars. He also enjoyed helping his son-in-law and grandson on the farm. He liked NASCAR and nationwide races.

The family wishes to thank VNA Hospice of the Wabash Valley and our “special nurse” Connie. All were excellent nurses and aids, exceptional and compassionate people.
