John A. Borack Sr., 58 of Shagbark Drive, Derby passed away March 18, 2014 in Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven. He was the beloved husband of Angela Garufi Borack. Mr. Borack was born in Bridgeport on Nov. 4, 1955, son of the late Joseph J. and Anna Szymborski Borack. He was a mechanic in the repair shop at Connecticut DOT for 28 years prior to his retirement in 2003. He was Past Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge 571 in Derby, and, more recently a member of Milford Elks Lodge 1589 where he was active in community activities. He was very active in assisting with the Golf Classic and Summer Carnival at St.
