John Allen Asp, 72, of Allentown, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 in his home. He was the devoted husband of Susan R. (Hollabaugh) Asp. Born in Warren, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Harold and Louise (Kahle) Asp. John was a graduate of Youngsville High School, class of 1966. He went on to attend Penn State University where he studied Architecture. John was a Drywall Contractor for most of his life until retiring. He enjoyed reading, organic gardening and cruises. John loved watching NASCAR races and football (E-A-G-L-E-S!). He had a passion for current events and loved his sports car and new mega-garage which became a family event center.
Above all, John loved his family and they loved him dearly.
John lived life authentically as himself on his own terms.
Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Susan; daughters Alysia Lee Asp and Briana Lee (Asp) Kish and her husband Stephen Kish, Jr.; sisters Denice (Asp) Bleech and her husband Tim and Ruth (Asp) Reither; sister in laws Oke Asp and Martha Lobdell and her husband Randy; loving grandchildren Annalise, Aspen and Athena as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends. John was preceded in death by his siblings Harold Asp, Jr. and Dan Asp and brother in law Ron Reither.
