Johanna Lanzl, 87, beloved wife of John Lanzl (predeceased), passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017. She was born to the late Michael and Karolina (Zankl) Dirrigl on November 17, 1929.
While born in Brooklyn, New York, Johanna was raised by family in Walderbach, Germany until after WWII, when she and her husband immigrated to the United States to start and raise a family. Johanna worked as a homemaker and lived in Plainville for 70 years.
Johanna is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John J. and Debra Lanzl, of Plantsville, and her daughter and son-in-law, Heidy and James Kaine, of Plainville; her grandchildren, Elisa, Eric and Jill; her great grandchildren, Ella, Madeline, Carter, and Sierra; her brothers, Robert Dirrigl, of Marlborough and Herbert Dirrigl, of Plainville; her sister, Greta Moore, of Plainville; and her extended family of nieces and nephews. Johanna was predeceased by her sister, Karolina Bernier, of Las Vegas, Nevada.
