Johan Epperson Nichols of Dallas, Texas (October 24, 1924 – May 29, 2013) was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Nichols Sr. After finishing high school Johan attended Northeast Missouri University. She opened her own day care center, Nichols Day School, owner and director for twenty-five years. She is survived by her sister Juanita Epperson Lambeth of Granbury, Texas, two children Rod Blake and Pam Nichols Ray, son-in-law Mark W. Ray, daughter in-law Karen Blake and six grandchildren: Hunter and Heather Ray, Rod Blake ll, Mike and Lisa Nichols, and Seana Blake.
