Joey Lee Garrett, 56, of Markleville, passed away on October 7, 2021, at his home. He was born on November 27, 1964, in Cookeville, Tennessee.
Joey graduated from Ball State University. He served his country in the U. S. Army with the Special Forces. He is a retired Federal Air Marshall.
Joey loved the brotherhood of his Army friends, hunting, fishing, shooting at his range, and socializing.
Joey is survived by his loving spouse whom he married on September 4, 2010, Sabine (Pietschmann) Garrett; mother, Linda Landis; step-children, Kevan Luik, Laura Luik; siblings, Angelia (Yves Caron) Garrett, John (Melissa) Garrett, and Vanessa Price; mother-in-law, Brunhilde Martin, father-in-law, Wolfgang Martin, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kyle Willis.
