Joetta L. “McGiffen” Garrard, 76, of Evansville, IN passed away October 4, 2019 at the Linda E. White Hospice House with her family by her side. Joetta was born on November 1, 1942 in Vincennes, IN, the daughter of Webster and Gertrude Dellinger McGiffen. She was a 1960 Lincoln High School graduate and also graduated from the St. James Beauty Academy in Indianapolis. She was married to Lynn Garrard for over 24 years. She worked for 36 years at Deaconess Clinic Downtown. She was a member of the Newburgh Church of Christ, the ABWA and the Homemakers Club. She enjoyed playing Bunko and knitting and was known for being kind and generous to everyone.
She is survived by her children, Beth Jordan and husband John of Olathe, KS, Julie Clark and husband Bob of Olathe, KS, and Jeff Garrard and wife Sheri of Evansville, IN, her beloved grandchildren, Ashlee Harper and husband, Austin, Kyle Garrard, Madison Jordan, Tristan Jordan, Tom Clark and Emma Clark and her great granddaughter, Maelynn Harper. She is also survived by her sisters, Margaret A. McGiffen and partner Andrea Kaskus of Vincennes, IN and Lucy Martindale and husband Al of Durham, NC, a sister in law, Margaret L. McGiffen of Vincennes, IN, her aunt, Ethylgene Josh of Vincennes, IN and many nieces and nephews.
Joetta was preceded in death by her parents Webster and Gertrude McGiffen, and a brother David McGiffen and a nephew David A. McGiffen.
