THOMPSONCREEDMOOR Joel Wayne Thompson 60 died on Thursday,November 18, was born in Granville Co. to the late Joseph L. Thompson and Marjorie O’Neal Thompson. He served in the Army Reserve for 6 years. He retired after 28 years as a Master Trooper for the N.C. State Highway Patrol and was a lifetime member of the N.C. Highway Patrol Association. He was a member of Brassfield Baptist Church in Creedmoor. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 697 in is survived by his wife Donna Herrington Thompson; two daughters, Lisa Thompson of Raleigh, Laura Thompson of Charlottesville, VA.; one step daughter, Michelle Cotton Cooper of Butner. One brother, Truitt Thompson of Creedmoor and one step grandson, Christopher Shaw of the home.
