Joel Daniel Brown, born January 10, 2002 and passed peacefully from this life on Earth to his Heavenly home on Thursday, November 28, 2019. He was lovingly surrounded by his family at home.
Survivors include his parents, Daniel and Deana (Floyd) Brown of Morgantown, IN, two brothers, Jaylin Brown and Jedidiah Brown of Morgantown, as well as two sisters, Danae and Delana Brown, also of Morgantown. Grandparents Wayne and Suzan Brown of Franklin, IN and Kentlin and Barbara Floyd of Westport, IN and Great-Grandma Glodene Floyd of Westport, IN, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Great-grandparents, James Floyd, Willard and Gladys Marie Tichenor.
Joel attended Franklin Community High School where he had an amazing group of teachers and fellow students who loved him. He enjoyed riding the school bus, music, stories read to him, children, especially babies, animals, being pushed in wheelchair, his bed and sitting by the window looking outside! Joel attended GracePoint Church as he was able.
Throughout his short 17 years here he taught us to be strong, endure to the end, never give up, love even when things are tough. He was a prime example to his theme Bible verse, Phillipians 4:11 “Now that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am in, therewith to be content.”
Throughout his life he has had home healthcare, hospital stays and hospice. Many nurses have come and gone from our home. We are thankful for each one that had a special part in his care. Recently, he had a long hospital stay at Riley Children’s Hospital where he was well cared for by many doctors and students, respitory therapists, nurses as well as different ones that came in and out! These last few days hospice has been a great help. We are thankful to everyone that has had a special part in Joel’s life….We just want to say Thank you on Joel’s behalf for all your love, care and support!
