Joe Willie Payne, 70, of Broad St., Middletown, died on Friday, July 20th at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Tribbett, Mississippi, he was the son of the Rosie Lee (Rose) Payne and the late Willie Payne and lived in Middletown for the past 40 years. Besides his mother, he is survived by one son, Charles Willie Payne of Chicago, IL; one brother, Elijah Payne of Clarksdale, MI; and three sisters, Carrie Harris, Jessie Bailey, and Barbara Bartell all of Middletown.
