Joe Vigil, 40 of Silver City passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Joe was born February 7, 1974 to Linda Escarsega in Silver City. He worked for the town of Silver City for several years and spent the last three years being a caregiver for his sister. He spent his free time playing guitar, listening to music, playing his Nintendo and working on his computer. He had a real passion for heavy metal and rock music. He loved his family and loved spending time with his wife and children and of course his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa. He was a real Jokester, he loved to joke around and make people laugh. Only the Lord knows why he was taken from us so soon and so suddenly. He will be missed by so many.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years Berna Vigil, son Andreas Vigil, daughters Sabrina Vigil and her companion Cody Trujillo, Selena and April Vigil all from Silver City; grandchildren Josiah Vigil and Lillyana Trujillo; nephew Ruben Scott, mother Linda Escarsega; sisters Christina, Monica and Isabel and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his beloved Grandmother Jesusita Vigil and his beloved mother-in law Lillian Martinez, grandfather Rapheal Vigil and uncles Frank, Ramon, Luceo Vigil and brother-in-law Ray Martinez all of Silver City.
