Joe Shaw, 89, of Fayetteville, GA passed away Tuesday November 16, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy “Dee” Holman Shaw of Buford, GA; parents, Roy and Kate Shaw of Lithonia, GA; son Bobby Shaw of Dahlonega, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Fred Harper of Augusta, GA; Sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Richard Bullock of Warrenton, GA; Brother, Jerry Shaw of Gainesville, GA; Brother-in-law, Larry Cameron of Lithonia, GA; Nephew, Joel Shaw of St. Petersburg, FL.
Mr. Shaw is survived by his step-son, Scott Roach of Leesburg, FL; step-son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Jenny Roach of Lawrenceville, GA; step-son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Chan Roach, Buford, GA; sister, Jane Cameron of Gainesville, GA; Sister, Jan and Bob (husband) Jones of Covington, GA; Sister-in-law, Betty Jo Shaw of Gainesville, GA. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Shaw was born October 24, 1932, in Atlanta, GA.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy for four years, mostly serving in Guam. Mr. Shaw retired as the regional distribution Manager for Dunkin Donuts.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Jonesboro, GA. Mr. Shaw played high school football and enjoyed watching sports. He also enjoyed gardening and cooking.
