Funeral for Joe Louis Boulden, 77 of Decatur will be noon, Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at St. Peter M.B.

Joe was born to the late Jack Boulden and Armean B. Hill on August 14, 1936 in Trinity, AL. He passed into eternal rest March 8, 2014 at Decatur Morgan Hospital.

On Feb 9, 1966, he was united in sacred marriage to Ann Williams. Mr. Boulden was employed with Pepsi Cola Bottling Company for 35 years as a truck driver. He retired in 2002. He was known by his CB handle as “Wolfman”.

He confessed hope in Christ on May 18, 2011 at River City Health & Rehabilitation Center and joined St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church of Decatur, Alabama.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Ira Bernard Boulden and his brother, Robert Earl Grundy.

He is survived by a loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Julia Ann Williams Boulden; two children, Tammie B. Owens (Tim) of Decatur, and Trentin Ayers of Huntsville; one grandson, Ira Bernard Owens; one sister, Wilma S. Wadle (Josh) of Athens; five sisters-in-law, JoAnn Grundy of Madison, Peggy Parker (Hollis) of Marietta, GA, Jeanette French (Charlie) of Decatur, Mildred Wyatt (Horace) of Decatur, Faye Ingram (Sebrome) of Montgomery; three brothers-in-law, Willie Williams of Spokane, WA, Ronald Williams of Decatur, and Roy Williams of Birmingham, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank the Staffs of River City Health and Decatur Morgan Hospital for the exceptional care rendered to their loved one.
