He is survived by his; sons Kenneth Tankersley of Sabinal TX, and Dale Tankersley of Belton Tx. His brother Harvey Tankersley, sister Rosie Hunt along with 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Joe is preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Mosley Tankersley, and his parents.
He served in the Army during WWII as a Tank Crewman. After the war he worked on offshore oil rigs.
