Joe L. Searcy, 81, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017.
Joe was employed for 54 years with Boh Bros. Construction; he started as a carpenter helper and worked his way all the way up to general superintendent. Many of his construction projects, including the I-10 bridge over the Atchafalaya Spillway, the elevated portions of I-110 through north Baton Rouge, and the interchange at I-110 and Airline Highway, have had a huge impact on the lives of many in Baton Rouge and south Louisiana. Joe loved to fish with his fishing buddies at Toledo Bend.
