Joe Luperto Morales, 91, of Brighton, passed away on April 2, 2019. He was born on June 7, 1927 in Anton Chico, New Mexico to Luperto and Felipita Morales. Joe attended public schools in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
He spent numerous years in the North Denver area before moving to the Brighton where he lived for 18 years. Joe worked as a painter at Fitzsimmons Medical Center for 27 years. Always conscious of his health and looking good, Joe took to the outdoors to stay fit by backpacking and fishing up until he was 60 years old. In his younger years, he boxed and was a Golden Glove featherweight champion. He enjoyed billiards and played in numerous pool leagues.
Survivors include his sons, Robert of Thornton, CO and Ernie of Pueblo, CO; daughter, Debbie Morales of Commerce City; sister, Aneda; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a sister, Sally and four brothers, Micel, Leo, Roy and Fred.
