Joe Gobbi 87, a resident of Gooding, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

Joe enlisted in the United States Air Force on January 8, 1954 during the Korea Conflict working his way up to Technical Sergeant while being stationed in England, Germany and Libya.  After leaving the United States Air Force,  Joe worked in the logging industry in Fort Bragg, California until 1971 when he moved to Fairfield, Idaho where he lived most of his life.  While there Joe joined the USAF Air National Guard until discharged in 1987. 

Joe was an active member of The American Legion, Elmer Miller Post 19 in Fairfield, Idaho and held the following Legion offices – Commander, 1st Vice Commander, Chaplin and SAL Squadron 19 Commander while doing the following Legion activities – Founder of Sons of the American Legion Squadron 19 with Jack Renfro, Hall maintenance manager and Honor Guard.

Preceding his death were his parents, Matt & Camilla Gobbi and his younger brother, Wally Gobbi.
