Joe G. Mayoral, Jr., 79, of Centralia, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 at his home. He was born December 3, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas, son of Joe G. Mayoral, Sr. and Jean (Menchaca) Mayoral. He married Betty S. Fowler on January 24, 1976 at the First United Presbyterian Church in Centralia and she survives.

In addition to his wife of 42 years, Betty Mayoral of Centralia, he is also survived by five children: Denise Meyer and special friend Jeff Diss of Centralia, Karen Mayoral of Centralia, Joe G. Mayoral, III of Centralia, Debra Ericksen of Centralia, and Dana Woodrome and husband Albert of Centralia;  12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a sister: Isabel Buffat and husband Sam of Madison, Wisconsin; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother: Pete Mayoral. Joe was a 1957 Centralia High School graduate and also played on the Centralia High School Football Team. He served in the U.S. Army. Joe worked for the Illinois Central Railroad for 40 years as a Conductor. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Centralia. He was also a member of the United Transportation Union. He coached for the Centralia Recreational Softball Teams for 6 years. Joe loved spending time with his family and friends.
