Joseph William Farrell was born April 25, 1940 to Fred an Esther (Lutz) Farrell in Chariton, Iowa. He passed from this life February 6, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 71 years.
Joe attended school in the Chariton area. In his sophomore year of High School, Joe chose to help his family take care of the farm and his younger siblings. March 8, 1963 Joe married his wife, Joey Vairo in Princeton, Missouri. To this union three children were born, Andy, Nicki, and Jason.
Throughout the years, Joe experienced quite a few professions.
During Joe’s spare time, he enjoyed horses, going to rodeos, watching WWE wrestling, and caring for his
Joe’s main purpose in life was to see to the well- being of his family, whether it be emotionally, financially or just through some good advice. He appreciated and enjoyed being able to socialize and take care of his welding shop customers and took pride in his work.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Esther (Lutz) Farrell; his brothers, Jerry, Bob, Richard, Ed, Don, Carl, and Charlie Farrell; his sisters, Johnetta Farrell, Mary Patterson, and Dell Agan. Joe was the last of the Farrell siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Joey Farrell of Chariton; his children, Andy (Kathy) Farrell, Nicki (Keith) Jones, and Jason (Katie) Farrell all of Chariton, Iowa; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
