Joe Elmer Moya, 78, passed away June 11, 2014 in Canon City, Colorado. The son of Ben and Evelyn (Cohn) Moya, he was born February 20, 1936 in Youngsville, New Mexico. Joe was united in marriage to Barbara Scannell on August 25, 1956 in Raton, New Mexico. He owned and operated his own drywall company for 35 years in Colorado. Joe loved to hunt and fish, and was a dedicated Denver Bronco football fan. In his younger years, he was a bull rider. Mr. Moya is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara; children, Leona G. Breaker, Harold L. and Courtney Moya, Arnold K. Moya, Joseph S. (Sally Coutner) Moya, and Debra S. and Gregory Wade Shuman; fourteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and sister, Geraldine Hancock. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister.
