He is preceded in death by his wife, Flora Shrader Allen; parents, Clay Allen, SR and Marie Tankersley Allen; brothers, William, Jay, Gary, Jackie and Ray Allen; sister, Annie Mae Allen Williams; and twin brother and sister, Ellis and Ellise Allen. Joe is survived by his brothers and sisters in law, Charles and Mary Allen, Stoney Allen, James Winston and Margaret Allen, Clay and Barbara Allen, John and Martha Allen, Wendall and Pat Allen, Tommy Allen, Jimmy and Doris Allen all of Dalton; sisters and brother in law, Ruby Allen Woods of Dalton, Marie West of Chatsworth, Betty Rich of Dalton, Linda and Larry Pelfrey of Dalton; several nieces and nephews.
