CHARLIE VIGIL, JR. (Charles) age 64, went to be with our Lord on October 5, 2012 after suffering from metastatic lung cancer. He was born in Taos, NM on August 8, 1948 to Charlie and Emma Vigil Sr. of Taos, NM. He was preceded in death by his wife Mae Marlene Vigil, his brother Robert Vigil, his father Charlie Vigil Sr. and mother Emma O. Vigil.
Charlie raised a daughter by himself after he lost his wife Marlene in 1984. He was a wonderful, loving father and lived his life for his daughter. He will be greatly missed by her, as she lived for him as well. He worked for the State of New Mexico for 25 years before retiring, after which went on to work for Borders Books and Music for another 10 years. Charlie was loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter Denise N. Vigil of Rio Rancho, NM, his brother Filbert Vigil (Rosemary) of Rio Rancho, NM, his sister Mildred Martinez (Henry) of Taos, NM, his brother Bill Vigil (Marja) of Taos, NM, and his sister Lydia Padilla (Elias) of Arroyo Seco, NM. Charlie also had many loving aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.
