Jody Beaman Aikens, age 62, of Winder, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny S. Aikens, mother Frances E. Brown, father William J. Kirkland, and brother William F. Kirkland.
She is survived by her son Gregory C. Aikens; daughter Angela and Robert Rogers; grandchildren Bradley Crenshaw, Sarah Crenshaw, Wilson Rogers, Tempy Rogers, and Skyler Rogers; sisters Linda Bennett, Patricia Lee, Cynthia Deemer, and Tammy Gibson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jody was born on March 2, 1959, in Atlanta, Georgia.
She attended Woodward Elementary School and Cross Keys High School in Atlanta. She and her husband raised their children in Lawrenceville and then Dacula, later moving to Winder. Jody was employed for the past 18 years with the Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources and prior to that worked for Marine Midland Bank and Aikens Construction.
Jody’s family and friends will miss her dearly…from the grandchildren, she adored, her son and daughter who loved her very much, and sisters who have now lost part of the laughter of their clan.
