Joanne Theresa (Young) Wyatt, 71, of Higganum, wife of the late Lloyd A. Wyatt, passed away on Saturday, May 30th at Bay View Health Care in Waterford. Born in Winsted, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Catherine (Heacox) Young. Joanne was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army. She had lived in Higganum since 1979 and worked at Raymond Engineering from 1976-1999. Joanne was a life member and past president of CT Valley Siberian Husky Club, a very good softball player, a master wood carver, and loved fishing and dog sled racing. Joanne is survived by two stepsons, Martin Wyatt and his wife, Karen of Higganum and Douglas Wyatt and his wife Michele of Colchester; a brother, Robert Young and his wife, Janice of Winsted; two sisters, Catherine Johnson of Winsted and Elaine Young of NY; a stepgrandson, David Wyatt; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, Joanne was predeceased by her sister, Barbara F. Young.
