Joanne Toth McCrady, 74, of Idaho Falls, died at home surrounded by family and friends on Monday, March 5, 2018, following a courageous 34 year battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Joanne was born on March 19, 1943, at her parents’ house in Homestead, Pennsylvania to Andrew and Mary (Slinchock) Toth. She was the youngest of three sisters. She attended St. Mary’s School, Sacred Heart High School, and Duquesne University (Pittsburgh), earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1965.
Joanne enjoyed the workplace and her many talents afforded her the ability to work in a variety of settings. She was a paralegal at Litman, Litman, Harris and Specter in Pittsburgh. Her Westinghouse career began in Pittsburgh in 1976, moving to the INEL in 1986, working in the Human Resources Department until 1993.
On September 26,1975, she married the love of her life, Allen D. McCrady and his children, in Judge Brosky’s courtroom at the Allegheny County Courthouse, and all who attended the wedding were joyful of the union.
