Joanne M. Bright, 76, of Gracedale and formerly of Bethlehem. passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth H. Sr. and Ann (Ebling) Smith. Joan was a Nurses Aid at Allentown State Hospital for 30 years, until retiring in 1998. She was a member of Church of the Manger, UCC, of Bethlehem and also the Red Hat Society. Survivors: Surviving are her sons, Chris Bright and his wife, Cheryl Gensey of Whitehall and Stephen Bright and his wife, Julie of Nazareth; a brother Ellsworth H. “Skip” Smith, Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Hellertown and a sister, Roslyn Ernest of Walnutport, Pa.; 4 grandchildren, Ian, Izak, Sara, and Jonathan Bright.
