Joanne A. Emminger Thompson, 70, of Chicora, died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2009 at the Chicora Medical Center.
Mrs. Thompson was born on September 15, 1938 in Donegal Twp. She was the daughter of Joseph and Rosie Matthews Emminger.
Mrs. Thompson lived in Indianapolis, Indiana for several years and moved back to Chicora in 1993.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Robert L. Thompson, who preceded her in death on July 19, 1987.
Mrs. Emminger is survived by a sister, Mary C. Emminger of Chicora and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and George Emminger, and two sisters, Margaret Marshall and Rose Marie Neff.
