Joanna S. Free, 90, of Ingalls, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2016 at home surrounded by family. She was born March 21, 1926 in Ingalls to the late Frank and Della (Burns) Sylvester.
Joanna retired from Delco-Remy in 1974 after 30 years of service and was a member of UAW Local 662. She is survived by her sons William J. Free of Franklin, OH and Mark E. Free of Ingalls; grandson Matthew A. Free of Indianapolis; and brothers: Richard Sylvester of Fortville and Harold Sylvester of Ingalls. She was preceded in death by her husband Delbert S. Free, whom she married on October 16, 1949; brothers Gerald and James Sylvester; and sister Helen Reger.
