JoAnna Louise Libiez, 79 of Peru, passed away, Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Manor Court of Peru. JoAnna was born October 30, 1942, in Peru to Eugene and Miriam (Ott) Libiez.
She graduated from LaSalle-Peru High School and then from Methodist School of Nursing in Peoria. She continued her education at Bradley University earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She then moved to Orange County, California to further her career at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital as a registered nurse, becoming head of the coronary care unit. She advanced to the position of nursing special projects administrator until her retirement in 2009. She truly loved her California years enjoying many ski trips with friends, as well as golf trips with her Rio Hondo Golf Club of which she served as president in 2014. In 2015, she moved back to Peru.
She is survived by two brothers, James Libiez of Richmond, TX and John (Linda) Libiez of Eastsound, WA; one sister, Jean (Michael) Radtke of Peru and many nieces, and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Rhoda Libiez.
