Joanna Harbert, 85, of Meredosia, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2011 at Barton W. Stone Home in Jacksonville.
She was born July 6, 1926 in Meredosia, the daughter of Charles “Bill” and Esther Ellen Yeakel Harbert.
She is survived by one niece and one nephew, Rita (Jim) Freeman of Bluffs, and Craig Brown of Monroe City, MO; six great nieces and nephews, Richard (Mary) Brown of Waverly, Mandy (John) Hutton of Jacksonville, Dustin (Katie) Brown of Bloomington, Jeremy (Kathleen) Freeman of Jacksonville, Joel (Trista) Freeman of Chapin, and Jennifer (Brian) Dyche of Jacksonville; and fifteen great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rosemary Brown.
Ms. Harbert was a 1944 graduate of Meredosia High School and a member of Bluffs United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed watching television and listening to her scanner. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved to bake.
