JoAnn Smith, age 51, of Adrian, passed away unexpectedly, January 29, 2015. God has not promised us a quiet journey, but has promised us a safe arrival. Jo Ann arrived in heaven to be greeted by The God we serve, her daddy, her brother, her grandparents, aunts uncles, cousins & friends. My beloved family and friends. Here I am, I’m so happy to finally be here. Those last few days were very dark & painful, I’m pain free, but your not going to believe this, I can talk, read & write. God is good, This will be the first letter I get to really mail. I was born at Bixby Hospital on February 7, 1963, to J. D. & Classie Mae Smith. I was preceded in death by my daddy, brother, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. I leave to cherish my memories & laughter, my beautiful daughter, Marquita Harris of Kalamazoo, MI, my beautiful butterfly granddaughter, Amirah Logan of Kalamazoo, MI, David Slayton of Detroit, MI, my mother, Classie Mae Smith of Adrian, MI, three siblings, Lacy Smith of Toledo, OH, Barbara Patterson of Adrian, MI and Joyce (Ron) Burrell of Lincoln Park, MI, eight nephews, three nieces, six great nieces and five great nephews.
