JoAnn Price, 81, of Anderson, passed away on October 3, 2012 after a ten year battle with Alzheimer’s disease and more recently uterine cancer.
She was born March 30, 1931 in Anderson and was a graduate of Anderson High School in 1949. She lived in Anderson her entire life. JoAnn worked as an interior decorator for Price Builders for over 45 years. She also served on the Board for Victoria Guild and was a former member of the Anderson Country Club. She loved vacationing in Bonita Beach, Florida for many years with family and friends. JoAnn was a fan of the Anderson Indians and Indiana Hoosiers. She particularly loved to make her famous chocolate chip cookies for everyone while following the Indians during the state tournament in Lafayette, Ft. Wayne, and Indianapolis.
JoAnn is survived by her loving spouse of 60 years, Sam R. Price of Anderson; son, Gregory A. Price of Anderson; brother, Paul O’Neill Linda; and sister-in-law, Barbara McDowell of Anderson; nephews, Dan Lois McDowell of Fairfield, Ohio, Kent Traci McDowell of Anderson, Joe O’Neill of Clearwater, Florida and Steve O’Neill of Las Vegas, Nevada; and nieces, Julie O’Neill of Clearwater, Florida and Jeanine O’Neill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Marie O’Neill; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sam H. & Wanita Price; brother, Melvin O’Neill; and brother-in-law, Keith McDowell.
