JoAnn McGerty Parsley passed away Thursday, January 4, 2013 at Davis Hospital in Layton, Utah. On March 20, 1940 in Los Angeles, California she was born to Joseph Edward and Thelma Dora McGerty Christensen.
She married Carl B. Parsley February 12, 1960; they had one daughter, Dora Nanette Farr and two stepchildren, Kayleen Marie (Howard) Hemmelgarn and Douglas (Susan) Andersen.
She is survived by her daughter, Dora Nanette Farr and stepchildren; a foster family, Deloy and Joyce Bench, whom she loved dearly; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; parents; three brothers, Joe, Jackie and Jimmy.
