Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Barton Woods Assisted Living, surrounded by her family. She was 62 years old. JoAnn Lynn Polzin was born on February 28, 1954 in Saginaw to the late Raymond C. and Isabelle (Chisholm) Polzin. JoAnn enjoyed driving school bus for the Saginaw Public Schools for over 28 years. She loved following the Red Wings and the Saginaw Spirit Hockey teams. JoAnn was a faithful member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church, and enjoyed singing with the choir and volunteering with different groups. She loved to show her creativity and pamper herself with a manicure.
Above all JoAnn loved her family and will be deeply missed by her son, Jason Michael Polzin; brothers: David (Mimi) Polzin and Carl (Sheila) Polzin; nephews and nieces: Kevin, Kalvin, Julayne, Jason, Jeff, Kathy, and David; and a special nephew, Caleb; many great nephews and great nieces including a dear great niece, Ashley.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Ronald (Patricia) Polzin.
JoAnn’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Barton Woods Assisted Living and Compassus Hospice for the wonderful care that they provided.
