JoAnn Leslie (Wiseman) Shaffer, age 76, of W. Boyd Street, Grafton, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at United Hospital Center. She was born in Grafton, June 5, 1935, a daughter of the late Leslie and Amy Elizabeth (Fornash) Wiseman. Her husband Carl T. Shaffer preceded her in death November 12, 1963. Mrs. Shaffer was a homemaker; she was an excellent mother, and grandmother. Her greatest accomplishment was her four children. She was an avid QVC shopper. Surviving are: two sons, Mike Shaffer, of Grafton, and Gregory Shaffer and wife Judy, of Flemington; two daughters, Tammy Shaffer and fiancé Greg Matthews, of Grafton, and Lea Ann Vandegrift and husband Tim, of Fairmont; three grandchildren, Nicole Shaffer, Christopher Myers, and Alexandria Myers; one brother Virgil “Bud” Wiseman and wife Mary Lou, of Grafton; and one sister Kathleen Parkinson, of Grafton. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by: one sister, Susie Mae Peters, and one brother-in-law, Charles Parkinson.
