JoAnn Glifort-Lindquist, age 82, beloved wife of Cliff Lindquist of Milford, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2009 in Florida.
Daughter of the late Robert M. and Anna Bess Ray Galatian, she was born on July 13, 1927 in Delaware, OK. JoAnn was a retired Nurse who worked for Orange Public Health and the Veteran’s Administration in West Haven. She was an avid gardener and camper, a devoted viewer of the Rose Bowl Parade and eventually traveled to Pasadena to see the Parade in person. She also loved traveling to Europe, across the U.S.A, including Hawaii and had a great tendency for staying in touch with people.
In addition to her husband, she leaves four devoted children, Walt Glifort, Tom Glifort, and Ron Glifort, all of Milford, and Phyllis Zilinski and her husband Michael of North Branford, four cherished grandchildren, Ron Glifort Jr. and his wife Kristen of Hamden, Kelly Bain and her husband Ryan of Oxford, and Jonathan and T.J. Zilinski, both of North Branford. JoAnn is also survived by four great grandchildren, Delaney, Owen, Ryan, and Vivianna. A sister, Eloise Wilson and her husband Junior of Texas, two brothers, Bill Galatian and his wife Lillian and John Galatian and his wife Wilma, all of Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Walter Glifort Sr., her daughter, Donna Glifort, and two brothers, Robert and Jack Galatian.
