Winchester – JoAnn Dempsey, passed away on July 1, 2017 with her family by her side. Born on March 14, 1940 in Yonkers, NY; she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline (Tencza) Jambik. She was married to the love of her life, the late Larry Dempsey for 43 years. JoAnn enjoyed spending time with her family and being a mother and a grandmother. She also loved golfing, shopping and traveling with family especially to Hilton Head. She is survived by a son, Greg Dempsey of Colebrook; a daughter, Dawn Kolenda and her husband John of Harwinton; a sister, Carol Sherwood of Colebrook; grandchildren, Megan, Tyler and Gracie; and many cousins.
